Adapting to a Changing World_LV.png

Executive summary

New developments and rapid changes in the tourism industry are resulting in the emergence of new jobs that require strong educational components and new competencies. Workers with low qualifications or lacking the necessary skills are unable to meet these new expectations. Considering this challenge, the project will contribute to developing a long-term strategy for improving the responsiveness of higher education institutions to the industry's rapidly changing needs via the creation of an innovative methodology for providing digital micro-credential courses to ensure necessary up-skilling and re-skilling of individuals to provide high-quality services to customers and to deal with current and future challenges related to the digital and green transformations in the tourism sector, which are vital for its sustainability. The research and analysis to determine the current state in provision of flexible and relevant to the dynamic of the tourism domain changes  covering  both sectors – tourism sector and higher education is important instrument in identification of needs and gaps as well as aspects for the updating and improvement of the training in tourism and hospitality in safety and sustainable development aspect.

In TSSTrip  project, we plan to initiate  individual and organisational self-assessments for  skills of a workforce, its relevance to the customer and labor market needs and identification of areas  for the updating and improvement of the training in tourism and hospitality in safety and sustainable development aspect.
